HEATHER NELSON

Heather is a Bay Area native with a Master’s in Business Administration from San Francisco State University and joined Hood Thomas Architects in 2013. As our Controller and Operations Manager, Heather is an integral part of our team in areas of Accounting, Business Strategy, Marketing,

HR, and Account Management.

Heather also studied abroad for her under-graduate degree in Florence Italy, where she fell in love with pretty much everything Italian. Upon graduation she returned to Florence where she lived and worked for another 6 years as an ESL teacher and adventure tour guide, leading REI and other group tours throughout the Tuscan countryside. Today, Heather lives in the North Bay with her family and often travels back to Europe to visit family and friends.
